SIKED

  • Mood: Happy
  • Music: Somebodies hero by Jamie O'Neal

Hi all. Sorry it's been so long again, but again been working longer hours at work. Anyway, life is good. I have reached the 100 mark in my novel A Vampire's Kiss.  I just finished a partial love scene with Zack and Des, it was pretty hot. At least I thought so. I hope you all had a Happy Halloween   .  Mine was okay.

Still trying to think of a title for my next book about witches, warlocks and demons. I have a few in mind, but still haven't found the one that fits perfectly.  Anyway as long as I figure it out by the time I finish this one, its all good. I can't believe it's already November, soon it'll be Christmas , and I am totally not ready for that.

Well all will try to post again very soon. Take care bye for now. I am off to try to finish chapter 9  .

Peace

Lee

Exhausted

  • Mood: tired
  • Music: Jamie O'Neal She somebody's hero

Hello everybody,

I know it's been a long time since I've posted, but it's hard when you work the hours I work. Anyway almost finished with chapter 8 and hope to finish chapter 9 and ten by the end of this month. No promises, but will try very hard. I need to finish this book before the end of the year, my next book is burning a whole in my brain.

So far life is going pretty good for me, but my sister Jerri is going through a rough spell with her inlaws. Her father-in-law has cancer and is dying, so, as you can imagine, she and her family are saddened. She is very close to her inlaws.

Well, thats all for now, I promise to try to post more often.

Bye for now

Tickled pink

  • Mood: Tired
  • Music: Jamie O'Neal Like trying to find Atlantis

Hi all! I'm sorry it's been like forever since I posted. Been keeping pretty busy. My sister Jackie and I went shopping in Mankato yesterday. Drove past the Viking training camp, with tons of people walking around. We had a great day shopping at the Mall. She bought the cutest pair of capri jeans.

Then we came home and I made shrimp alfredo. YUM. Then Michael's father came and picked him up and we drove into Fairmont and stopped at Shenanigans Bar and had a few beers.

Two very cute guys asked us to dance. Jackie danced, but I turned him down. Way to young for me. He was probably 22 or 23. I still can't believe he asked me, a 48 year old woman to dance. He was very cute, with long blonde hair, but too young and not really my type. Plus just wasn't in the mood to dance. The yummy  guy Jackie danced with asked her to go out on a date and dumb woman turned him down. But he gave her his number. I told him I would put in a good word for him and he blew me a kiss. His name was Scot and was in his upper 30's or early forties and has a little girl. I think he would be good for her. Unlike Matt the jerk she is dating. AM I BAD?

Anyway on the writing front almost finished with chapter 7. Some exciting stuff should be coming up in chapter 8. Well thats all for now. Take care and May God bless.

P.S. You can now buy my sister Jerri A. Drennen's book,

Her Man Flint at www.triskelionpublishing.com/pd14.html

Please buy it, you won't regret it. It is a great book. You'll  love it.

Great, chapter 6 is done. whoo hoo

  • Mood: Tired but siked
  • Music: Shadaisy, love those girls music

Hi all. I am so siked right now. I finished chapter 6 and started chapter 7 and chapter 7 starts with action, which is so much fun. There is a fight between my herion and the hero's ex-wife. Pretty interesting. It won't be a cat fight. These gals fight.

Anyway I finally found the pics for my characters on a modeling site so I'm happy about that. I would post them but for some reason one of pics won't work, will figure it out later and post it then.

Well, I am off to write. Need, need to finish chapter 7. The sooner I finish it the closer I get to the love scene that keeps playing in my head. Darn thing. These two are hornier that a bull frog. Get it. Not funny in the mornings. Sorry.

Have a great day.

P.S. My sister Jerri just finished chapter 1 of Fire and Ice. Fabulous stuff girl.

Bye

Feeling Good

  • Mood: Good, not great
  • Music: Toby Keith

Sorry I haven't written in awhile. But have been concentrating on my writing and finding a job. Which I did find a job very close by. I'm excited about that. And now I am almost done with chapter 6.

My new goal is to try to write 3 pages every day. Although, some days I don't feel like writing, so we shall see how it goes.

My sisters book Her Man Flint comes out in July which is very soon. I know she is anxious to see the cover and I pray that they do the book justice. It is a great book and I can't wait to see it.

Well, thats all for now. I promise to write more often.

Bye for now.

bone tired

  • Mood: Pooped

Hi all. Sorry I didn't blog yesterday. Not much to say I guess. Yesterday my sister Jackie and her boyfriend (seems so high school) what else do I call him, went out for the day. I stayed in an cleaned, did laundry and baked cupcakes. I love to bake. I used to do it a lot more when my brother Kory was little and I was living with my Dad. He loved home -made bread so I made it once a week.  And I was always baking pies, cakes, brownies etc for them. If I had someone to bake for I would do it all the time, but if I made all that stuff just for me, I'd be as big as a house.

So, anyway Trevor, that's my husband took Michael, my nephew to a horse show at the fairgrounds. I couldn't believe she actually let him take her baby. But she did. At about 2:30 he brought him back and Michael had been asleep in the car. So, when they got back he woke up and was crying for his mommy, who was still MIA. He cried for at least a half hour. Believe me I've dealt with my share of bawling kids. I raised my brother, babysat my nephew Josh and all of my sister kids.

I got him some "milk hot"  which he screamed at the top of his lungs. He finally calmed down after two glasses of warm milk.  He is certainly a handful. I remember only one other child like that. My sister Dawn's daughter Leticia. "Oh My God."  Talk about willful.

The afternoon wore on and still no Jackie. Finally at 4 I called her and she and Matt had left the Mall of America. "We're gonna go have a beer and then we'll come home."  By six o'clock, I was thinking are they ever coming back. Finally at seven they strolled in. I'm glad they had a good time, but I'm not a paid nanny. If I were, I could have cared less when they came back.

Anyway I did have a fun, frantic, stressful, tear my hair out five hours with my nephew.

Well, thats all for now. Talk to you later.

Full Day

  • Mood: Physically Exhausted

Hello;

Well, my sister critiqued chapter 4. Not bad. Just stupid grammatical stuff, yet I went over and over and over it.

Oh well, could have been worse. Anyway I feel really good about chapter 4 it has a cool ending hook, that even my sister was intrigued about. Wait till she finds out, she's gonna flip.

I packed, cleaned, did laundry and even managed to write 3 1/2 pages, but told you that already. I even went to visit a friend for a little while last night. Not bad. Very full day.

Anyway thats all for now. need to do some more packing.

Bye for now

Good yet somehow depressed

  • Mood: between moods

Hello;

Just wrote 3 1/2 pages in chapter 5. Feeling great that I accomplished that.

So, anyway. I've been packing, with no place to move into.  My sister Jackie called the other day and told me I was moving in with her. She'd read my mind. So I've decided, since I've no place else to go and can't afford the rent around here that I will go live in her basement. My niece Karly has recently moved out, so I will have my own space.

It's hard to leave behind a house I loved, a man I will always love and a job I have spent the last 9 years at. But Oprah said something the other day, that floored me. "Failure is God's way of saying 'You're going in the wrong direction.' "  Wow that hit me like a ton of bricks, because that was exactly how I was feeling. Like a big fat failure. Sorry I'm crying again. Doing that a lot lately.

Anyway, enough feeling sorry for myself for one day. Talk to you later.
